"Parkland" world premiere with Peter Ferry

By Peter Ferry (other events)

20 Dates Through Jul 11, 2020

ABOUT ABOUT

Half-an-hour of music and conversation with percussionist Peter Ferry and "Parkland" composer Marc Mellits

NOTE: All events are listed in Central Standard Time (CST). Events are being added on an ongoing basis as reservations fill up, so please check back in for new dates.

This sensitive and heartfelt new work for solo vibraphone is the latest in a series of collaborations between percussionist Ferry and composer Mellits. Written in the aftermath of the mass shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School, "Parkland" is Marc's musical response as a parent to loss, comfort, and resilience.

Each event will be limiting audience attendance to allow for an intimate live gathering - a chance to breathe and be together. Come ready to hear about the piece, take in the performance, ask whatever questions you may have, and share your experience with others.

Tickets are available starting at $5 and offer general admission at the level you choose. Each attendee will receive an email before the event with instructions for attending through Zoom.

Please join us in making a contribution to Everytown for Gun Safety at Everytown.org, to support a movement fighting for common-sense reforms to gun violence.
